Tennessee church lets deaf worshippers feel their faith (OneNewsNow.com)

Now, I think this is as pretty creative way to get people going to church:

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Brian Sims was sitting in traffic when a car with a booming stereo pulled up next to him. Feeling vibrations from the pulsating vehicle, the Baptist pastor who ministers to the deaf got an idea: creating a one-of-kind church exclusively for deaf people.

Back when I was on a varsity Basketball team at the Delphian School (a school that uses L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology), we played against the Oregon School for the Deaf. That school, instead of having whistles when a play was to stop, had an ENORMOUS bass drum that they would pound when the ref blew his whistle. It was loud enough that it just about gave you the runs when it played — you definitely knew the play was supposed to stop.
